ITINERARY:
-
BANGKOK – KANCHANABURI (-/L/D)
DAY 1 Early morning, pick up passengers from various
Bangkok hotels and depart to Kanchanaburi. Visit the
Thailand-Burma Railway Museum, an interactive museum,
information and research facility dedicated to presenting
the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway. The fully
air-conditioned center offers the visitor an educational and
moving experience. Continue to the War Cemetery, final
resting place for over 6,000 allied prisoners of war, and
the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai. Take a
long-tailed boat on the Kwai River, passing unspoiled
mountainous jungle scenery. Check in at your resort. After
lunch, long-tail-boat transfer to Resotel pier and continue
by coach to Hellfire Pass Memorial (closed Dec 24-27,Dec
31,2007 & Jan 01, 2008). Late afternoon, return to your
resort.
Dinner, followed by a 45-minute presentation of Mon Dance
and overnight at the RIVER KWAI RESOTEL or at JUNGLE RAFTS.

KANCHANABURI - BANGKOK (B/L/-)
DAY 2 Breakfast at the resort. Visit to the
nearby ethnic Mon Tribal Village (Optional tour: Elephant
Riding through the bamboo forest – payable on spot). Check
out and boat transfer to Resotel pier. After lunch at a
local restaurant, take a historic ride on the Death Railway
Train. Then continue by air-conditioned van / coach back to
Bangkok and transfer to your hotel.
Our package tour prices
are inclusive of transfers and tours by air conditioned
car/van/coach with English-speaking guide on seat-in-coach
departures (for private tours other language guides are available on
request), entrance fees, boat transfers, meals as specified in the
program (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), accommodation at River
Kwai Jungle Rafts (cold water shower, no electricity) or at Resotel
(room with air-condition and hot water shower), service charges and
VAT.
Not included are other meals than mentioned in the program,
optional tours, and expenditures of a personal nature.
Note: For the seat-in-coach tour, surcharges for pick up/drop
off from hotels not located in downtown area may apply and will be
advised upon booking. Small deviations in the tour program are
sometimes necessary, depending on road conditions and availability
of rooms.
